As often as possible, I will post easy, no brainer clean swaps for under $30. As mentioned in the post on How to Start you Transition to Clean Beauty, buy these products next time you run out of your current products. Worst case….and absolute worst, you spend less than $30 on trying something new, and you were spending the money anyway. Best case? You get an easy, lovable clean swap.
First up is body wash for about $10.
Why switch my body wash?
Your skin is your largest organ, so what you put on it, ultimately goes in it. We are going to start with cleaning up what hits the majority of your body, first up body wash, next week body lotion. Standard body washes are commonly filled with sulphates, artificial fragrances, parabens, synthetic colors, phthalates…you get the picture, bad chemicals that you can’t even recognize on the ingredient list. Enter Dr. Bronners 18-in-1 Pure Castille Soap, pictured below.

What exactly is it?
This invigorating body wash is really cleansing, without over drying. I personally love the mint for a refreshing morning wakeup, but it comes in a bunch of colors and scents sure to fit your needs. This stuff is ultra-concentrated. A little goes a long way, a quarter size amount will cover you.
Where to buy?
Target, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, and more, pretty much all over. Medium size (which I recommend for ease of use) is about $10, and the large, shown in pics, is $15-19 (buy at Trader Joes for discount).
Bonus points!
The ingredient list is all readable – isn’t that refreshing?
Green machine! This is made from recycled plastic and is biodegradable once it hits water.
I got a tip from an instagram follower that she also uses for laundry, even more bang for your buck!
